Sundrop is named for the two little bursts of gold sitting in all that silver — the detail your eye finds first and keeps coming back to. The scrollwork is cut deep and runs edge to edge, the horseshoe rises out of the center, and the whole face is scalloped rather than squared off, so it reads softer up close than it does from across the arena. It's traditional western done properly: nothing minimal about it, and nothing apologetic either.
Because the engraving is done by hand, no two faces are identical. The silver will brighten in the high spots and darken in the cuts as you wear it, which is exactly what a good buckle is supposed to do.
